Moreover, there is a general notion amongst people that all forms of snacking are bad for health, especially when it comes to losing weight.
However, the truth is that snacking can actually be beneficial as it stops people from overeating when it comes to having their actual meals. The trick is to select foods that not only satisfy your hunger, but are also loaded with various forms of nutrients in order to provide energy to your body. You should try and choose foods which have a low energy density like grapes, air-popped popcorn and carrots which not only satisfy your hunger, but also contain less than 100 calories. Instant trail mix
Dried fruits like raisins, cherries, cashews, walnuts and almonds contain a perfect blend of carbohydrates, fat, protein and flavor. One great way of dealing with late-afternoon or mid-morning hunger is to toss an ounce of cashews and mix it with a tablespoon of any kind of nuts.
